The market for mobile phones is ever increasing and expanding. The latest progession is the arrival of smart phones:

”A smartphone is a mobile telephone with an integrated computer and other features not originally associated with telephones, such as an operating system, Web browsing and the ability to run software applications. The first smartphone was IBM’s Simon, which was presented as a concept device (rather than a consumer device) at the 1992 COMDEX computer industry trade show.”

The latest smart phones are manufactured by the likes of Apple, LG, HTC and many more. There is only one issue with this progession in handset capability and that is that the different functions need a lot more battery to operate and that the phone batteries do not last long with use. That is why an emergency charger is such a great purchase. An emergency charger will allow you to charge your phone up wherever you go without the need for a plug socket.

If you are out on a walk in the countryside and realise you need to make or receive and important call its not a problem, is it? You’ve got a very handy device called a mobile phone that allows you to communicate with the world from wherever you are to wherever they are. Its amazing. The one downside to this amazing device is that it runs on battery and a specific battery that is rechargeable and not replaceable, meaning if you are somewhere that does not have the facility to charge it, then you are well and truly stumped. The battery runs out and you are left to feel completely helpless, as unless you cut short your plans and go to the nearest place you can charge your phone then you are completely uncontactable.

That is, until now. Now you can purchase whats known as an emergency charger. This handy little add on for your iphone, android or other smart phone runs on AA batteries and we all know how readily available AA batteries are these days. The emergency charger has the same charging connection as the standard wall socket charger that comes with a handset when purchased and will charge your phone absolutely anywhere you go. All the emergency charger needs is four AA batteries and it will ususally charge your phone four times over. After which you simply change the batteries and charge again.

No more cutting walks or outings short in order to use your handset. An emergency charger, a lifesaver!

If you are always on the move and busy in the day to day whirlwind of modern life then you may not have time to remember to keep the charge on your mobile phone topped up. This means that in some cases you may have a situation where you are out and about and in need of charge but not have your charger with you. Even though you are out and about and busy rushing around it doesnt neccessarily mean that you have your charger on you or can even plug in a charger anywhere in public for that matter.

This is where an emergency charger comes in. With the price of AA batteries nowadays and the availabilty of them the emergency charger is the absolutre solution to a low battery in need of charge. All you need is four AA batteries in order to get multiple charges for your phone. The emergency charger is a simple device that you can carry out with you in your pocket even. Lightweight and small enough to fit into a handbag or briefcase you will only be aware you have it when you want to use it.

These days our phones have loads of different functions and all of them drain battery power. The best thing to keep in mind is that if you dont need something then switch it off. With some handsets you have the ability to turn off non essential features when you are not using them. You also have the option of putting some handsets into standby mode when they are idle, make use of this! To access these different options you will need to get to their area within settings and tools on the handset.
Almost all of the modern features on the handsets we use today put a major strain on the battery life, and even though batteries are getting stronger much imporved all the time, the batteries will usually not manage to power all of the different functions on a modern handset. Without an emergency charger this can leave you without any power on your mobile so this is why you could really do with an emergency charger in most cases.

A good thing to do is to always have your bluetooth turned off when you are not using it. Bluetooth is one of the biggest battery drainers and it is very easy to leave the function on as it is always running in the background. Unless you are using a bluetooth headet or sending/receiving files make sure you turn it off. Even with these tips it is always a good idea to have an emergency charger, by having one of these you could leave your bluetooth on most of the time.
